Today’s memory wasn’t planned. I happened to check facebook soon after getting up this morning and see that a friend posted on my wall the nearby Frontier Culture Museum was hosting a “pay what you will day”. I bundled the kids up, packed a lunch, and we set sail for a grand adventure.
Today the kids played drums in a traditional African village, visited German, English and Irish farms, made corn husk dolls, built a dam in a river, explored trails, ground corn, and made memories! I have a hilarious video of them with a turkey. I think they enjoyed the animals best of all. The girls were also very interested in the fences and gardens of the farms we visited. We’ve got some new projects planned for our own house.
