Monday: I was sitting in the Walmart parking lot at 9:30 at night begging God to send some encouragement my way. It had been a very long day, I was feeling inadequate to handle my life, and I still hadn’t done the grocery shopping. Nothing miraculous happened, but I did realize that I need to be the encouragement that I want from others, that person who is bold enough to walk up to someone and pray with them.
Today: I was picking taters in a potato field. I was tired, but determined to fill my bag before leaving. A complete stranger walked over to me, dumped 5 gallons of potatoes into my bag because “God told him to”, and asked to pray for me. He prayed for me in the middle of a potato field, a complete stranger he had never met. It made my day.
